Synchro Swimming in Geraldton

The event is open to females aged 6-60 and you need no previous experience. SynchroWA is being supported by Healthway and its SunSmart message, and previous sessions have taken place in Derby, Koorda and Bunbury. SynchroWA is also supported by the department of Sport & Recreation.

SynchroWA Secretary Brian Miller said, “We are grateful for the support of Healthway and we are delighted to be able to take this fast growing sport into regional WA. Our State is the country’s leading centre for Synchronised Swimming with half of the National Team being based in Perth. I’m sure there must be potentially good synchro swimmers in the Mid-West.”

Aoife McCann is one of the international swimmers who will be visiting Geraldton, and she first started in the sport 5 years ago when she attended a free “Come & Try Synchro” session in Perth. “I’ve been to these sessions in places like the Wheatbelt and South-West and they are great fun. We’ll show a few of the moves and then everyone can join in and have a go.”

Sessions take place on Saturday May 31st at Aquarena between 9-11 and 2-4, and again on Sunday between 9-11.

All females are welcome and the sessions are completely FREE.
