Skilled Coach helps Country Week boys

MWAS Coaching scholarship holder, Riccardo Amazzini has enjoyed applying the lessons learned from the Youth “C” coaching licence to young Mid West athletes at the Football Country Week.

Young Mid West Football athletes have benefitted from the new skills

It was very pleasing to see young Football coach Riccardo Amazzini applying the knowledge gained from the FFA Youth “C” licence to the U15 Boys team at the country week carnival in Perth.  The team progressed to the first-second playoff game, which was a significant achievement. The U15 Boys were the standout Mid West team, with no other teams making the top level playoff match.

Riccardo acknowledged that the lessons gained from the coaching course had helped him with this assignment, both technically and in team dynamics “ The course definitely helped and we have been able to have a lot of fun” he said. “This group has done everything as a team whether in camp or at the games. The positive culture has helped them play well and most importantly, enjoy the whole experience”. The MWAS looks forward to continuing to provide support for coaches like Riccardo who are making a positive impact on teh sporitng experience for young people from the Mid West.
